Morning all. Just picked up a nice E92 325i without bluetooth. And would really appreciate peoples thoughts on a retro fit solution. Looking for a few a screens/buttons/knobs on the dash as poss.But something that will cancel out the radio when a call comes in. The car doesn't have NAV.

I believe the later professional HU's have bluetooth built in. This would be my 1st option.

Cheaper option would be add an aftermarket system such as Parrot but you will have a seperate keypad for these.

We fitted a Dynavin unit to ours a few months back. Very impressed, gives you bluetooth, music streaming, ipod control, sat nav etc and integrates fully with steering wheel controls:-

Got free fitting at local car audio place and they were impressed with the quality of the unit and how well it fits into the dash.

This would be the preferred route. But I can't seam to get a clear answer on this.

professional headunit with usb and bluetooth is 100% oem way, but if you want to have bluetooth streaming as well i recommend to look to dension gateway 500

Might also be worth mentioning that some of the later HU have USB, Bluetooth and DAB if your interested.

Thanks. I'm on to a company that sound as if they know their stuff. Apparently they supply a modual that allow the use of the steering wheel buttons and a box hidden away that bluetooth the phone to the original head unit so you can use all the BMW phone functions. it's not as cheap as the parrot system. But tidy.
