yes, it's in the manual. If you don't have one I suggest going on BMWs website and downloading it in PDF. It will tell you all the sequences on customizing things

Done through your turn sig switch. Turn car on, press BC, cycle through with up/down lever. When you see a key symbol press BC to enter that and there are a few choices I believe.

I scrolled through everything and there was not a key symbol that appeared anywhere. Is it possible I can not set this feature? I'm wondering if that is an option for my car?

There are a couple of "set" entries as you scroll through. For each, select the entry. Then, you will be presented with a list you can scroll through with little images depicting what setting you're adjusting. One will be for the automatically drive-away door locking. Good luck

Maintain the desired speed for doors to lock for 3KM, during the 3KM you need to cycle trough features until "key symbol" is illuminated (within 30 sec's of desired speed) during illumination you lock the doors 3 times, unlock 2 times and lock 1 time and you're all set

holy cow that's a lot of steps, you may have missed the part where you have to click your heels twice while balancing a bowling ball on your nose while you're on an unicyle.

Get off the forum and read the manual. All the info you need is in there. As my previous post states you can download it

I'm sorry but I just don't get people who rather ask simple questions on a forum and wait for answers rather than look in the cara manual that will teach you everything you need to know. Is it easier to just ask a question on a forum and wait for a response?

really?? what did people do years ago? I mean this day in age, it has become, "oh, I'll just ask a question on a forum and wait days for a response", when in reality this info can be found by the OP in 5 minutes of thumbing through the manual which I would want to do anyway to learn all about the car.

the truth of the matter is we are def falling into the entitlement label as most have said. People want their questions answered for them rather than figure out a solution themselves.

Take a look at the general forum and how many people come on here for financial/life advice from strangers. It's comical

FYI, I did several forum searches before I posted. I also looked through the Owners Manual and there was not a procedure for what I was trying to do, if you don"t have I Drive. What is the purpose of this forum? It helps to keep one from having to go to the dealer, right? It is unfair for you to assume that a POSTER has not exhausted other means before posting. You dont' have the right to assume or belittle a person, till you have ALL the information. Thanks to all those who responded, With one exception, YOU! (you must be Republican)

this took me all of 5 seconds to find in the manual:

on page 22 of the Opening and Closing section;

again you can donwload the manual on BMW website if you don't have a hard copy, but I just read the entire procedure in literally 5 seconds but I am too hard headed to post it here for you, just know it's in there, now go find it.

so I stand by my comments. And if you really did exhaustive searching (including reading the manual, then I feel bad for you that you cannot figure it out yoruself). If your "Republican" comment is slanderous I really feel bad if after all this you're a representation of the Liberal party. Go call the dealer from your Obama phone and have them tow the car there for you and let them change the settings, obviously you need a hand

I apologize if it seems that way, but you're asking a simple question that can be found w/in 5 minutes. I just don't understand the logic of posting a question on a forum b/c 24hrs later you're still in the same boat. Again, donwload the manual from BMW website and read through it if you don't have a hard copy. It sounds like you don't have the right manual either as if your car is non-Idrive, you should have a non-Idrive manual (yes there is a diff). that's why I recommend downloading the PDF from BMW

See, haven't I been helpful

BTW, page 22 in my Manual has to do with Voice Activation.

then you have the wrong manual. Did you buy the car new?

there are 2 diff manuals for idrive and non-Idrive. Again, download the PDF version of the manual as stated prior; it will solve all your issues; then come back and thank me
