Winter storm!!
Hi all,
Just wandering how everyone's BMW made out with the first real snow storm in a while? Mine made out like a bandit! I left from Downtown Toronto @ 5:45am and drive to Guelph with no problem, I just took my time and let the wavetrac do all the work. DSC light never came on. How did the rest of you fared?

Was driving home around 2am, car's nose was always pointing forward, even on the unplowed country roads north of Brampton.

Rear Traction + Manual Tranny = Had tons of fun !
But I have to say, I got some cheapo winters (Sailun Ice Blazers) and they actually held pretty good

My car looks like it's been through hell and back.. and it loved every minute of it!
Edit: On an unrelated note, I love how my new phone (HTC One X) takes wide screen pics.. |

drove through unpaved snowdrifts on highway 5/dundas street last night and country roads in the Burlington area. Car held well and kept going straight with the Nanking's I have on it! I just drive extra cautiously and slowly!

X-Drive not needed when you have a 6MT and Nordfrost 5's on
Although not having the power to the wheels of a 335 also helps. |

Made it to the bottom of my driveway, turned around and took the Jag to work. Although I have LSD I was afraid of getting stuck in the deep snow. Tripping the light like a xmas tree!

My 328xi E91 wrapped in General's - suhweet. Flipped winter the bird and did figure-8's in a parking lot with DSC/DTC turned all the way off, just to rub it in.
However, my brother called from Ottawa and said he took kids tobogganing and saw a lady demonstrating the "Canadian Car Chase" TV scene in her M5... can't be good at everything, I guess. (I am not affiliated with the advertiser in any way...just the beginning part is funny...) |

Couldnt even leace my house because of snow beeing high to about the headlights (and still higher than intercooler in the street). But when I was able to exit my house/street it was going perfectly. Xdrive for the win !
