I have a 2013 335IS and my cousin has a F30 335 and LOL. I've driven his F30 335 and not only does my IS feel faster but everytime we race I win.

The N54 engine is truly amazing. When tuned it produces more power than the N55.

The thing I hate the most about his F30 has to be the steering its just WAY too light for me even in the sportiest mode. Don't get me wrong its a great car but i've tried both and if I had to choose it would def be the 335IS.

One last thing lol 19 in 313 that you can get with the IS are just gorgeous. Drive both and you'll see what I'm talking about.

wait a sec!!! the 335is HAS 20 more HP (factory) than the f30, so the IS will always outperform the f30 even before tune.

Right thats why he should get the 335is lol. N54 has Way more support and tune-ability.

N54 has two independent turbos >N55 Is twinpower turbo (a single twin-scroll turbo).

I appreciate and admire your automotive A.D.D... Do you work at a BMW Dealership or just a short attention span?

Here's to hoping the 4 series kicks butt, I'd be really pleased if I end up feeling like I'm missing out on the 4 series.

buying a 2014 435i is about as good as buying a 2007 335i.

what does that mean? Huge problems with the car, being first year model.

I bet it'll have subframe problems, transmission leak problems, injector, hpfp, motor mount and bushing problems. But hey, go ahead and be the guinea pig because we need these people to uncover the defects so that the 3rd and 4th year models will be crystal clear of these defects.

just tried an f30 (328xi) loaner for 1.5 days this week.

I didn't like at all the steering wheel sensation, nothing like my current e90 328xi... as others are mentioning, even in sport mode the car didn't provide the same feedback as the previous 3 series.

I don't mind the "tablet suck in the dashboard", although I have to say that I had quite a bit of trouble to find a good spot for my GPS... granted it is a 6" TomTom gps... (guess I like tablets nears the dashboards!)

The engine was responsive... but not in the same way as in my e90... and definitely the sound of the 4 cylinders... jezzz I don't know how they were allowed to have a 328 with 4 cylinders!!!

I would go for the 335is... no doubts, much more rounded product. As someone was saying, buying a new model is not typically a good idea... let someone else test it out, complain, make modifications, improvements... and then you will have a great solid product!

Lastly I felt an IS might hold its value better since its a limited edition. Test drive one, the dct and torque will blow you away. My two cents...
Have you seen the new interior of the 2013 models? I don't know but it just looks unsymmetrical all over the place...I like the e90 interior much more...and yeah the front end no way...

For me, a ESS Supercharger would be plenty fast enough.

I guess that's my inner redneck showing... I love the sound of a good straight six (and really, a 335i is intoxicating when you get on it) but I remember hearing a Lime Rock M3 firing up and I think I just kinds stood there for a good 45 seconds... sounded more like an old 340 Duster than a BMW, in a seriously good way. Yes, I would rock a 340 all day long.

that last part is a 10-15k sentence. which is crazy.

ps, if this is a purchase, you will probably take a bath on it, despite the fact that the 335is is limited production.

When will the 4 series be available?

Like the look for the 4 series. When will it be available in the US? Possible ED when it is first released?

435I all the way

I would wait if you are going to go brand new. I have a 2009 335I Coupe with the trimmings 19" factory rims, M kit, etc... I can tell you that you will be wasting your time. Cuz nothing change drastically from 09 to 13 really. but the 4 edition gives more space and very little extra features but worth the wait...

What do you guys think? Thoughts appreciated. Thanks
