Sport Seats E90

New to this forum

Just bought a E90 2006 320i Monaco Blue Metallic

130K kilometers

Decent condition with some paint chips, swirlmarks etc but very good condition engine, gear and interior.

The interior is the standard seats and as a big guy at 199 cm i would love sport seats.

Have tried to buy here in Sweden from companies selling used car parts but they cant sell with the side airbags and those airbags costs more then the seats itself. Tried to buy from UK but those UK seats all seems to miss the most important thing for a Swede, heating.

Have found a interior from a E92 here in Sweden from a private seller, but does the front seats from a E92 fit into a E90? I know the E92 have foldable front seats, but will they fit into a E90? Is the fastening the same? Any other problems that can occur? It will be a BMW-mechanic that makes the change from standard to sport seats (when i find any) so the computerpart with error codes will be taken care of.

Thanks in advance

Nope, it doesn't work, the anchor for the seat belt is on the seat in the E90, but it is on the car in the E92.

Are you certain the sport seats are more comfortable? The only complaints about them that I've heard have been from larger guys who found them too confining.

X2 this is exactly what I was thinking when I read the OP.

I am 6-5 and have sport seats. It took awhile to find a comfortable setting and the actual seat part could open up a little more. My butt/thighs get a little uncomfortable on the raised indention on the side that's part of the bolster siding on the bottom.

My real complaint is that the seat doesn't go down enough. I haven't measured but at its lowest it's around 10 inches off the floor. There seems to be tons of room to go lower but it won't. This makes my legs a little uncomfortable in long stretches cause of the angle of attack my legs have to be to the peddles. And I want to be closer to the center of gravity for cornering.

At some point I'm going to trade out the seats so am looking for aftermarket daily driver seat recommendations.
