Got my 330d M sport on Monday

Hi all...new to this...and just got my 330d on monday and have a few questions that maybe could be resolved!!

1. when you put the car into reverse only the passenger mirror dips down...is this normal...should they both...?
2. anybody know how to increase the volume of the sat nav lady?
3. whats the story with the headlamp washers do they wash when ever the windscreen is washed?

passenger mirror dips when in reverse unless you slide the switch over

not sure about sat nav volume

headlamps cleaned every 5 times the windows washers go off

cool, do you mean they wash one in five times when washing the windscreen...can they be washed alone?

Only passenger mirror dips as far as I knew, some headlight washers work every few times or when the lights are on you'll have to

Wait for when the sat. nav. lady is talking and simply turn up the volume knob on the hi-fi to set her volume. Not sure if on the latest system you can set it via the idrive menus.

...all I can say is what a machine...everything about it is just spot on...from the auto gearbox to the suspension and the little touches BMW give you...the rechargeable torch in the glovebox, folding mirrors and the inflating seat side supports....Im still finding new things on it....how does anyone find the suspension on the M sport...it is quite firm...even when pushing down on the car when stopped it barely moves!!!

Most people on here have switched the tyres from the Run Flat Tyres (RFTs) to normal tyres (non-RFTs) which brings a little comfort back so is now just about acceptable. Just realised I'm not sure whether you've for an E90 (saloon) or E92 (coupe) or other variants - I found the E90 to be much worse than the E92 from experience for some reason (especially as my E92 had bigger wheels!!!).

The dipping mirror does indeed come with the folding mirrors. The L/R rocker switch to adjust the mirrors is what determins whether the left mirror dips or not. The right mirror never dips.

The 330d is such a useable and flexible car; you'll love it.

Mines a manual and has a dipping left hand mirror (and folding mirrors).

Personally, it drive me mad, I never use it. Just occassionally dip it if needed to really tuck into the kerb. My wife uses it all the time though.
