My guess, in that location, was to bypass the seat belt alarm

I would look under the car for exhaust bypass, the switch would be right over where I would expect the solenoids to be. I could see grandpa tearing the wires out cause he kept bumping it and his pacemaker couldn't keep up with the shock. Maybe his family member was a modder.

Wasn't the OP going to trace the wires a few days after he posted this if I recall right? I guess he got lazy...
