BSFC number for 2011 335d?
Has anyone seen or been able to calculate the CORRECT
BSFC (Brake specific fuel consumption) for the 2011 335d? I'm trying to get it into DashCommand so that my data is correct. Thanks much !! |

That's a great question. I think turbo diesels are in the .30-.35 range but, I honestly have no idea how that compares to the newer high performance BMW diesels.
If you find out please ensure you update this thread as I'm currently putting together a fuel system and this info is crucial. Thanks! |

I "think" this info is close for the R2S system in our vehicles.

I'm sure you or DWR has access to a program that will identify the M57's exact BSFC. |

That plot has BSFC in g/kW*hr. The minimum of 212 g/Kwhr -> 0.3485 lb/hphr. That seems pretty close to what it should be.

For my 335d, BSFC set to .35 is definitely too low. At that setting, my torque at WOT never measured above 278 lb/ft.
Still searching for the correct number.....thanks much... |
