I'm in South San Fran, those are just too far for me. I work in Menlo Park, so Peter Pan or even Mtn. View would've been acceptable. any dealerships close to either 92 or Dunbarton, the east side?

I'm actually at Omega Tintwerks in Pleasanton as I'm typing this, Vincent is tinting my car. I saw a BMW dealership very close by, but this would be too far for me to take my car into service.

I work in SSF.
Seriously, Stevens Creek is not so bad. It's like 2 exits south of the Mtn View exit on 280. It took me 10 extra minutes (if that) than when I drove down to the Mtn view dealership.
Unfortunately, our car has been there a lot (considering we haven't even owned it a year) and everyone has been really nice and we get a loaner every time.

Do you get a BMW loaner? Did you purchase your car from them? I might consider that next.

No we didn't purchase from them.
When you call to make your appt., just ask them for a courtesy car. They usually book within a week or 2. Last minute appts. can't guarantee they will have anything but loaners (Enterprise).

Peter Pan does offer loaners--I made an appointment last week and the SA set me up with one. Not sure if it's a Bimmer, but at least she promsied me a car.

Cheers!

Peter Pan told me they have a very small pool of loaners, and they're only available for major service types of visits. I was having the iPod and Sirius options installed, and she told me that doesn't qualify for a loaner. I'm sure if I had bought an M5 from them, there would be no problem.

I welcome any and all of "bashers" of BMW of San Francisco to try picking up the phone (old fashioned, I know) and giving me a call rather than posting your brains out on how bad we are.....little do you know sometimes the only way to get what you want is to ask, and if there is special treatment you need....no wash, BMW to drive, we will try.

Went for my first service with Peter Pan...was in and out within 10 mins.
Had a bulb go out in my brake lights and changed it without questioning my Solaris bulbs.

As for the service I give it A++++++++

But I still stick by BMWSF, as their service reps. have been good as well.

Clearly this is nonsense. Not only I have picked up the phone, but I even
left voice messages for you to call me back with all my details. The response?
Complete silence. So I think we'd rather post our brains out and avoid BMWSF
like the plague cause new fashioned or old fashioned ways didn't seem to
work. With so many complaints and "bashers" perhaps you should start calling
people and find out what the problems were, instead of the other way around.

Regarding a BMW to drive? Oh please...on the two occasions that I was there,
I was put in a dingy and filthy cavalier from enterprize. Not to mention that I
had booked an appointment well in advance and I have bought my car from there.

The simple fact that there are so many people in here who have complaints
and very few to non existent with good words about the service and the
SAs at BMWSF, ought to tell you that something is wrong and needs fixing.

Two times visiting the service dept and one the bodyshop were enough for
me to decide never to come back. The experiences were horrible (a long
post in here wouldn't be enough to describe everything) and on all occasions
there were blatant attempts to steal my money and waste my time.

Jeff,

My CA said she wrote on 3 different pieces of paper that I don't want a BMWSF sticker. Still, they put it. (and removed it before I saw, but forgot to clean the sticky stuff)

My CA promised me that nothing will happen if they wash my car, and now I have swirls, also on the wood trim and a scratch on my Start button. And at first she was telling me that every new car coming off the truck would have that much.

Thanks for offering your help. My CA also told me that she will take care of everything and get everything fixed. But this doesn't mean that I shouldn't write about my experience here on this forum. This is why this forum is here, so that people share their experiences, good or bad. I read about other people's bad car wash experience at your service before I took delivery of my car, but still trusted your service when I was told "We take care of $100K cars, yours will be fine. We will pay extra attention." and here's the result.

How would you be able to help me if I called you after all this stuff? Your people can't read a piece of paper and they can't wash a new car without scratching it. Do you think I would ever let anybody to wash my car there?

And after all this stuff, I am expected to give you 5 stars when BMWNA calls me.

I haven't had any experience with your service yet. All I can say is that Warren was very nice to me when we discovered that my Voice Command doesn't function. That has nothing to do with BMWSF of course, and I'm waiting for a call from my CA to confirm that you have the latest Progman 25.1.1 and it won't break anything else while fixing my voice.

Just called Peter Pan BMW to schedule my yearly oil change service as well as the iDrive Progman update, and they still wouldn't offer a loaner car. The best they could do is offer a shuttle service, but considering I work down in SJ that was unacceptable.

Will try my luck with Stevens Creek or Mtn View.

Stop bashing BMWSF guys.
Well as most of you know, there is a tire recall for Turanza EL-42 RFT's.

So, I e-mailed Jeff, the BMWSF service manager, and he replied almost instantaniously.

He then proceeded to check his documents about the recall and basically told me to come in to get my FREE TIRES.

The re-call is Under 10,000 miles = Free Tires.

He set me up with an appointment asap, and responded quickly to my questions/concerns.

I'll post an updated thread when this service process is completed. I'm sure it's going to be smooth!

Didn't you change your wheels/tires? lol.
But yeah, even if your above 10k they'll still probably hook it up.
Probably just charge a little for them.

So that I understand - we should stop posting about and bashing BMWSF
for what reason exactly? Because they offer great problem free service,
they are willing to do their job and help the customer, the are not trying
to steal your money when they can, they give you a loaner car instead of
a dirty run down rental, their service manager is good and responsive? Or
because you called the service manager and told him about a recall and
he told you to come in? What did you expect him to tell you? Don't come
in?

Have you seen how many negative feedback they've got from the people
who have been there and are in this forum? Or perhaps you are under the
impression that because you got a response about a recall, things have
changed overnight at BMWSF and everything is good...

Their bad reputation preceeds them long before people started to post
in this forum their bad experiences. And personally if their internet sales
manager when I bought the car wasn't that good, I wouldn't even visit
them the 3 times that I did.

Tim, I think you have to scheduled with them at least a week or two in advance in order for them to give you a loaner.

Did they ask you where you got your car at?
