Shocking offers for my E92!!!
Hi guys,
I've been pondering with the idea of selling up...few reasons, i wont bore you with the details. So i called up a few dealers "Used BMW specialists" and big used car dealers... And the figures i was getting back were shocking to say the least! Few details on the car... 2007 E92 320d M Sport in Titanuim Silver 57,000 FBMWSH TAX & MOT Cruise Control, Dual Climate control, Bluetooth, Rear Park assist etc... Best i got was £10,500!!! Am i expecting to much or is that right??? |

I am no expert, but if you want more for your car you should try and sell privately. £10.5k for a 5 year old 60k mile 320d coupe doesn't sound far off the mark to me. I doubt it would be retailed at a Main dealer either unless it is absolutely mint.
Apologies, that is probably not what you want to hear. |

That's fair money for trade. If not slightly on the "good" side !
As per the others, what do you think it's worth ? I think you'll need to make the decision to either keep the car or get less than you anticipated. Selling privately you should be able to market at 11,995 and see how you get on.. But expect to sell for 11,200 or so ..

Soon as I read it I thought approx 10.5 and that's what you were offered.

That sounds about right to me, but don't be afraid to ask around different places - you will get different offers.
I recently got trade in prices from 4 BMW dealers for my E90 and they varied wildy - by over £2.5k from best to worst offer. |

Dont think I'd dare ask for a part ex on mine at the mo (not that I'm thinking of selling it though).
According to Parkers it appears I've lost £10,000 on mine in 6 months. WTF? And who says BMWs hold their value............oh the joys of buying a new car.... |

Yeah it sounds good to me.
Think of what a private buyer would want to pay. In the nicest possible way (genuinely I mean no offence) I wouldn't pay that for a 2006 320, so with the dealers margin I CERTAINLY wouldn't pay it. I'd take it or consider a private sale for a little more! Matt |

I have basically the same car albeit with slightly less miles, I paid £20k 2 years ago (although they did give me a good price on my S2000 PX) and this is exactly the reason I'll be looking down the leasing route next car renewal.

I dread to think what mine would be worth 6 months from now. Fortunately I always planned to keep the car 3 years and see no reason why that wouldn't be the case... as I lurve her

I'd say it was a good offer.
My brothers just sold his 2007 335d. Fully spec'd (ex demo car) with 120k miles for £8,000. |

you'd be pushing for that figure private as well, look on AT, prices start from 10/10.5k - bare in mind you'd get bid down on this figure as well - 10.5k is a v.good offer
