Veyron driver & the disappearing pelican
I'm sure most have seen this:
Looks like the owner took out a $2.2 million policy on the car 3 weeks before the accident, the insurer has voided the policy, and is counter claiming citing fraud. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ars-court.html

The engine wouldn't run under water for a second let alone 15 mins.
It does look like he just drove it into the lake.

How did he buy the Veyron in the first place? Surely he would have needed to pay the $2m+ it costs in the US to purchase the car in the first place so at best he would have got his money back and probably less if insurance payouts here are anything to go by?
I don't understand what he hoped to achieve by sticking it in a lake and committing insurance fraud? |

It would take some balls to drive a car into a lake at that speed.
Surely it would have been safer and easier to bung some Albanians a few hundred quid to smash it into something in a scrap yard. |
