I believe you can extend it at the time of purchase up to a maximum cutoff of 7 years (they wont warrant a vehicle that's > 7 years old by memory)

where are the pics of the remus and sound clips?!? :P

why not?? They should let you to do it. Well I'm pretty sure you can still extend the warranty as it's not expired yet?

What was the reason they say you can't extend?

No reason. But its back in there on the 4th of April for the 3rd trip to try and fix the adaptive headlights, and to also fix the stupid map upgrade that killed my nav - so I'll ask then.

Have you guys had the complimentary free servicing done under the bmw select?

The prev owner of my car reckoned he didn't have to pay for servicing under this scheme, and once the premium select warranty expires you still have a allocated number of free services left (I do recall reading this also in the terms and conditions)

My car ran out of warranty last month, but I wouldn't mind getting a few free oil changes

Regarding servicing - Given I bought the car with 12 months of Premium Selection warranty I was told that the next service was covered in that time, if not - they'd still cover it.

Regarding headlights - "Adaptive Headlight Failure" - ongoing issue. First visit it was headlight globes, at my expense. But this didn't fix the problem. 2nd visit, software was blamed and needed updating, at my expense.

Now, whilst VERY unhappy, it is going back for the 3rd visit to fix the headlights as I have had the error message again. Which, sadly, coincides with my attempt to upgrade to 2013 maps that have stopped the nav working whatsoever..... Can only ask them to fix it all and not charge me for the nav fix given the previous times I have been charged for the headlight fix (at my expen$e) which didn't actually fix the problem...

Oh - did I mention I had a vanos exhaust solenoid fail which had it stuck open - advancing the timing ? - that was completed under warranty.

i think it's just the 'first' service if you didn't need one within the first 12 months of the warranty

also, i think i read somewhere that the premium selection warranty isn't transferable between owners so i wouldn't mention your the new owner since when trying

Great looking car Kaitan!

Go with 19" matte black TE37s, they would look awesome on your E92 BSM!
