Yeh, a friend of mine has a 996 Turbo X50 and having been driven in it i would say the power delivery is about on a par. I would say the handling of the GT-R is on another level though!!!

What do you think will happen to the residuals of these cars?

Say in 12-24-36 months time, is this going to become a £30k used buy? Or will it fare better?

I really fancy one of these.........the brake pads and tyres costs scare me a bit though

I think there are a lot of people who bought one / wanted to buy one who thought they could get a cheaper 911 turbo. However with the servicing and running costs associated with these cars a lot of people wont be able to run them as these things cost more to run than fezzas
IMO they will pill like crazy and as a financial investment they will be a dissaster, but as an emotional investment probably youll get a good return.

A pal of mine who sources cars uk wide has been offered an import with 600bhp for 41k these things we 60k 6 months ago.

When the sat nav cars come out the non sat nav cars will take a hit.

But saying all that some people dont give a fuck about losing money and to them its a real bargain. If i hadnt got messed around by Nissan when i had my 3.5k dippa down id be in one right now, as i think they are fucking AWESOME

Steve has got THE best coloour combo spec so that should help

Nice one Steve, car looks sikk as fcuk. Saw a white one yesterday. Pulled up next to me and let it just glide in front of me. Got to another traffic light and he was just gone, floored it and vanished. Sure your worse with your current mpg . Your colour looks much better. Look forward to seeing it at a future meet.

(yes jealous)

Yeh think he meant "thrashed" DXBizzle

Not a problem buddy - really good to meet you and thanks for the easy transaction - the bits will look awsome on your new ride when it arrives - cant wait to see the colour in the flesh - keep in touch and a blast in the GT-R is yours whenever you want!

I think thats more to do with the fact that Nissan royally pulled the plug on people bringing in the Jap imports by telling them their warranties were void, hence why i waited for the UK car with full 3yr Nissan warranty etc. To be honest i would never have bought the GT-R if i was in the least bit concerned about residuals - i just knew i HAD to own one and i have no regrets whatsoever as the car really is THAT good! Mind you, i was told by no nothing numptys that i would lose money on my 997 and both M3's and yet i made £13k in car sales this year alone!! Just shows you doesnt it!! I am under no illusions that i will lose a chunk of change on the GT-R but i can afford it and have put it out of my mind already!! Besides, you guys know me by now, i wont be keeping her long enough for it to be too much of an issue!!!
