Give a Shift

Hey guys,

Not sure if you have seen this, but everyone should check it out.

The video outlines a very important problem that everyone here should appreciate and consider.

it will only take a minute of your time...

(found on road&track)

also, here's a pretty interesting thing on the M3/4 that I found over there

Hahahaha! Loved it! Almost every one of my cars were MT. I did try out DSG when I bought my 08 TT but got bored of it within like 2 weeks and went back to driving my WRX as a DD. Yes, the IS guys will say it's faster, etc but it's just that special relationship you can appreciate with your car in a MT.

Good stuff...I hate to admit but I have abandoned the MT too since I have been married and the focus went to family and kids. I have made a promise to myself to get an MT when it's time to buy the Porsche Unfortunately, I have noticed they are becoming rare with the new models b/c the PDK is so popular.

Huge fan. My old 335i was manual, and after movin back into a 335i from supercharged Range Rover for my 2nd 335i: I converted my current 335i to a manual. I most definitely #giveashift

just because you have an AT doesn't mean you don't giveashift! I'm a proud AT owner who gives a shift hard everyday on my commute to/from work

oh the real note, i'm usually on manual mode and use my shifter (not the paddle shifter) to change gears. I even rest my left foot on the footrest and pretend like i'm driving a real stick shift. LOL it's kinda sad but i'm often reminded why I didn't push for a stick shift when being stuck in traffic

I'm from England and the majority of cars here are manual anyway, I can think of only one person I know who drives an automatic and that's my mother in law haha.

Driving an automatic here basically translates as you're an awful driver and can't manage a manual. It's like the car for dunmys lol
