I just got an aero lip in finally and want to get it mounted. I don't have lifts, jacks, stands, or ramps available.

Has anyone mounted an aero lip without such tools? I'm really wanting to DIY because the shop down the road estimated 90 bucks which I think is crazy.

Searched and found this has been asked before but never answered.

It's going to be tough I think getting to those screws and mounting the lip, unless I were to go buy ramps or something.

I just installed a lip on my car and it was a piece of cake with the front bumper removed. Took about 1 hour.

You can uninstall the front bumper without a jack but it'll take some more time. Check the DIY section for how to do this.

I have installed Aero lip on my E92 2X now and never needed to raise car-installed with car setting in driveway with no problems.

Ok thanks for the info. I'm on stock sport suspension so I should be ok. Going to get some 3M tape and get to work on Saturday then.

I installed mine with out raising or anything just use 3m tape. Take out the screws from the bottom. Pop it on. Put the screws back through the holes on the bottom of the lip and there you go

Thanks, would it be best to get the screws in first loosely and allow room to get the tape backing off and adhere, then tighten the screws? I'd hate to have the screw hole off or the fitment get out of whack.

Do not use a ramp. Once your aero lip is on, it will scrap the ramp when you drive back down the ramp.

Had wondered if it would scrape, thanks a lot.

Gonna go grab some 3M and try to tackle it tomorrow or saturday.

No, put the tape on the lip first. Press it in place with the tape then the screws. The shape of the lip makes everything line up just fine. I did mine on the ground with no problem. Just be sure to dry fit it first so you see how it goes on before you remove the protective layer off the tape.

Thanks for all the info everyone. Install was literally just 10 minutes. I can't believe the shop estimated 90. Anyway, here is the post I made in the space gray thread in the photo section.

Looks great man, you wont scrape on a ramp if you use 2x4s or mini wood ramps to load the car up on it. I do it all the time on lowered cars with lips. I noticed your in Raleigh, I would never take a car to a shop, if you ever need help with any install I am more then willing to help. It saves money, you appreciate the work a lot more and you learn a lot from it too. Its an overall good experience. Only things my car ever sees a shop for is major stuff such as clutch or a diff install.

Yea once I found out how simple it was I'm glad I didn't go with the shop. I've done everything else DIY.. Spoiler, lux, grilles... Etc.

I think I will need something in the future though. Not sure if I can do an lci rear conversion on my own. And I also want to do an mtech rear at some point.

I'm on the app so I can't see where you are located. But I'd be happy to meet up and show you the lux.

They aren't much better than stock as far as bright sunshine is concerned. But on overcast days and early morning/late sunset these lights look amazing. I'm heading out of town tomorrow but will be back next week. Send me a PM

I too am running around in a Space Gray e92 w/ 19" AG M359's.

The lip looks great but I went a different route with the Mtech rep front and back.
