E92-Lighting Interior LED Kit Review

So I recently received a new set of LED Interior Kit from E92 to have a look at. Ive had a previous kit before this and the set I have was lacking in lighting but perfect for ambiance. So lets begin with the tools to do this review.

Products used

OEM Bulbs
LED Kit from local(PM if you seem to like it)
E92- Lightings Kit

Method of Capture
Nokia Lumia 920

So lets start with whats in the package.

A package within a package, Packageception but wait!

Another one! But on a plus note the items arrived safetly and promptly.

Here are all the LEDs laid out if you notice these are a little bit different then the ones on the website a bit more updated I would say ill let E92 Chime in. The four with the question mark are LED for I assume the door handles, Im not sure and I will update once i check. I most likely wont update those if they are seeing as how I have OEM white already. So lets begin.

So this review will be done in sections as I have to replace the bulb 3 times per section but the trunks first.

So a size comparision then what each bulb looks like order of OEM, My set and E92s Set.

As you can see E92 Set is a lot brighter in terms of visibility which i was looking for. Although I will miss the blue a bit. Up next is the courtesy door lighting. Under the door not the handles.

Not much of a difference in this area. So lets move to dome lighting. (Excuse the mess of a car) :P

E92

You can clearly tell who wins in terms of brightness. But the blue has a nice effect on the car. A soothing effect until i can find anything in the dark.

Last set I could take is the visor

Previous on the left and E92 on the right

These are the images i could take so far on the account that I was getting milked by mosquito's. I will reserve a spot for Gallery shots. But my impressions on these bulbs so far are if you're looking for a very bright white set that lights up the car like a Christmas tree these are your set. I have friends who are used to being in the car with the dim ones I had before and are blinded by the new set. Which is a bonus and a downside if you stare at them. Overall its a nice change to OEM and my previous set. Everything is plug and play and takes less than 45 minutes to replace all bulbs in one sitting. I will miss the old VIP club look but these match my angel eyes and xenon's so I am happy.

If you're are wondering where the foot well and maplights are the bulbs are difficult to replace for the map light so I decided to skip over it and just save for the gallery. As for the footwells you cant see due to the fact that the Dome lights over power most of the areas hence i did this in sections.

PROS
• PnP
• Quick install
• Bright

CONS
• Wasnt Free
• Does get warm/hot
• Blinding sometimes no biggie lol

So I after a week of owning these I love them. They add a new feel to the car at least for me and brighten up my day(excuse the pun.) But really they do offer more light than OEM and it was easy to do an install. Here are pictures and a video of the functions. (Video is dimmer than photos well because this is captured on a phone lol.) If your looking for a simple mod to change the look then these are yours to choose. Thanks for looking! and Good Luck with what ever you want to do.

Update: Forgot to mention those 4 Led with the ???? those are for the E92s I have an E90 so they are of no use to me anyone want em ;]

They look really good! Potentially a bit too bright...

Where did you get the kit from? Could be interested

From E92-Lighting, hes on the forums in the sponsor section or you could go look up his site. I'll admit at first they really are but after a week with them. They just look stunning. Fits my taste I came from a dimmer set and anyone coming from OEM will notice as well.

I've been on this forum for over a year. I don't generally post as a I like to lurk and read. I've posted recently because I've been waiting for better quality OEM replacement aftermarket parts to come about. It just happens that E92 had a fair price and good products up. So I did what a good customer would do an promote them. If you think this is a fake account or w/e then fine so be it but theres no need to come here with negative attitude. I put these up to promote and do comparisons to educate people so they can see what they are buying. I would do the same if I bought from anyone else. Not wanting to start a war but just wanted to point that out.

I see you have the full kit in blue. Is there any advantage of getting blue vs white or visa versa?

Only ruining your eyes...beyond that I see no advantage.

So which one do you recommend? Blue would be more subdued I would think.

Blue was extremely harsh on the eyes, especially at night- at least that had been my experience. I would say an order of "easy on the eyes" factor:

Red, then factory amber (think the little ambiance lights by the map lights, and in the doors for E92s), then a white LED kit. Currently, highperformancebulbs has all four interior colors (red, blue, amber, white.)

I guess you would have to see them in person to decide best.

Red would be the easiest on the eyes. Red then amber. They are the easiest because in regards to seeing at night, the human eye can transition faster to dark areas easier/faster after being exposed to red light. It's no wonder red light is typically used in military applications as your eyes can adjust easier from red light to darkness faster.

Having Red Blue Amber and white on my car I find blue to be fairly harsh as I had trouble seeing with it. I couldn't find anything in the interior and transitions were not that easy either. I ended up sticking with white because it was the easiest and cleanest looking. Red to me just wasn't an option as it looked a bit tacky for my taste and amber didnt have enough output for me.

If one is trying to decide which color, they should first figure out why the want to change colors, if it's simply for looks, then pick whichever color. If it's about transitioning at night then go red or amber. If it's about brightness then go for white.

Is $70 for some interior LEDs with only a year warranty really worth it? I haven't bought interior LEDs before but that seems a little pricey to me.

Blue led interior kits were just released, and soon to be Red led Interior kits, this shall cover all spectrums of color, if the interest is well receieved, we can make Amber led interior kits as well.

How well do these dim? The factory bulbs offer a smooth and complete dimming from on to off when locking/unlocking. Some LED's have a very narrow dimming range, so they will dim slightly then turn off completely.
