"sounds better" to an enthusiast means engine note, not so much exhaust. Power wise, 328i can be easily modded from 230 hp to 280's by swapping a 3 stage intake manifold, headers and tune for around $2500 with tons better reliability and sound than 335. SUpercharger from ESS is another option to get 300+ hp. But that's not the point, those are the options. Point is, refinement! |

And refinement can mean many different things to people when it comes to cars. |

BMW was all about refinement regarding their 6 cylinders why they chose to stick with inline engines. 328, 330 and all the M cars stand for refinement minus the turbo cars. Don't want to make this a never ending thread, point is both 328i and 335i are great cars, but have different driving characteristics, and one being faster over the other DOES NOT MAKE IT BETTER!

BMW 335 60-0 braking is about 109ft (and I believe that was on the E90), 328 is not close to those numbers. |

150 extra pounds over the front axle equates to a substantial weight increase affecting braking, steering, and over all driving dynamics. |

God you are a genius, how fucking old are you? The 330 production was only from 05-06. The EU 330 you are talking about has a N53 engine.

Your 0-60 is not accurate. NA E92 stock is lighter and brakes faster from any distance over stock turbo. On the track, the heavier turbo needs bigger brakes to make up for being a pig.

http://www.edmunds.com/car-reviews/t...x-vs-four.html Here you go this is a comparison of the current 328 vs N52 based one. As you can see the stopping distance from 60-0 is 126 ft for the N52 328. Last edited by Delta0311; 06-20-2014 at 11:24 AM.. |

No the n53 is NOT the same as the N52 for starters it uses direct injection much like the N54/N55. |
