My First Bimmer!

A little background… So, I've always been a fan of the E90 and E92 body style since they first released, However I've never had the means to purchase one, that is until I joined the military (ARMY) back in 2011. Shortly after joining, I would be getting sent overseas to my first duty station, Korea. The entire tour all I could think about was the money that I was saving and what model Bimmer would be right for me. I decided on an E92 335i, however once I got orders to Colorado, a RWD twin-turbo sports car didn't seem like the right idea, mainly because I need a car that I could use all year round. So here I am now….

07' 328i MONACO BLUE

-51,XXX (WHEN PURCHASED)
-IDRIVE
-HIFI
-COLD WEATHER PACKAGE
-GREY DAKOTA LEATHER
-OLD LADY (LAWYER) WAS PREVIOUS OWNER

MODS SO FAR:

-GOLD STR LM REPS
-LAMIN-X YELLOW FOG COVERS

(I KNOW MY FRONT BUMPER IS TRASHED ON THE BOTTOM, THAT'S FROM TRYING TO LOWER A CAR IN COLORADO SPRINGS)

-FULL CUSTOM CATBACK EXHAUST SYSTEM WITH QUADS (not the fake quads)
-STAGE 3 SOUND SYSTEM
-STAGE 3 INTAKE

Stay tuned to see my progress. Also, any suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated.

PS: ANYONE IN THE COS AREA FEEL FREE TO HMU. I'M LOOKING FOR GOOD BODY, ENGINE, EXHAUST, CUSTOM WORK, ETC… PLACE IN TOWN.

What a start man, super nice and super clean paint looks like the previous owner cared for the paint which is more than can be said about my previous owner. I had to clay, polish, polish and wax...still not done, lol. Looking good though brotha!!

Yea, it was very well preserved from the previous owner. Thanks a lot man. I'm actually gonna clay and polish her soon.

Lol yup, they're "Winter" tires on the rear since I'm expecting it to snow within the next 2-3 weeks. No suspension work so far… Not even considering a drop anytime soon, due to the fact that my car scrapes bad enough with it sitting how it is.

I figured that the gold would go nicely with the dark blue. Guess it payed off. Thanks

What do you mean exactly by suspension, what suspension mods do you suggest? Thanks!

Thanks! It was fairly difficult to find one in my standards. There was an 335xi that I was interested in as well, but once I saw this one, the condition and the price, It would've been foolish to pass. Most 335s I saw had higher mileage and were, according to my research prone to more problems.

Thanks man, it truly was an amazing feeling (still is). It's also a big change up from the cars I'm used to 1982 Monte Carlo/ 1983 Buick Regal/ 1997 Buick Century. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to drop her just yet. It's about to be snowing and my car already scrapes enough on the daily, hince the front bumper.

Hey Army dude! your first pic... first rule of having a new car never park frontal like that... we all hate curbs & bump stops no matter how high your car is or better yet when you lower your car... but dang! what kind of lens are you using with those camera... your shots are very sharp!

ya I know what you mean about the lack of manuals. I couldn't find a 335 in xi and a sedan that had a manual and didn't have a ton of miles, so I had to go with the automatic.

I think the xi sedan is the hardest to find in a manual (it could be the xi wagon also)

Congrats on your purchase, interestingly enough my first car was a '91 Buick Century so I'm no stranger to them.

Lol I figured that out shortly after getting my car. I really took that pic to show the real reason why I refuse to drop my car. Thanks for the kind words, I'm using this old camera my uncle gave me (Canon Rebel XTi) paired up with an Canon Compact-Micro Lens.

Some else who feels my pain. I have no regrets though. The 328i is perfect for me, if I had all the power of the 335i I'd probably have lost my license by now. lol
