So I bid and win myself a JBL MS-8 and since then have spoken to a few people inc CAS / CAD and some across the pond (on this forum)..

Some say I should have got the Audison Bit One (I know some for sale at £250 used)

Others say I don't need the MS-8 as it's an OK bit of kit and then;

Some others say should have got my car recoded to 'HIFI'



I can still sell on the MS-8 on here I'm sure someone may want it for much less than RRP, in return allowing me to get the Bit One however... I ask this because it's got me thinking..

Is the MS-8 worth keeping over the Bit One or should I get my car recoded?

keep the MS8, that's an awesome price you got it for, got my car back today, I've got MS8 fitted, it sounds awesome, the staging is amazing, Makkan might be interested in the MS8 as well if you decided to sell

MS8 or Bit One = haven't you been here before?!?

Just adding your MS8 to the OE setup will make a considerable improvement. Add a centre and you'll be very impressed. Lots of expandablity, likely to get your money back when you get rid or keep it for the next car.

Keep it IMO!

CAS know jack shit about our cars. They advised me to simply get one of their iphase amps and some components. So i'd take their advice with a pinch of salt. However i am suprised CAD said you don't need an ms-8. Did you speak to Colin?

If you really want to, you can recode your HU to HiFi, and keep the ms-8. Apparantly a few guys have done this with decent results. Personally i dont feel the need to recode. By the way, what the ms-8 does in a few minutes would take you a lot longer with the Bit One.

I think you're just getting cold feet. Install it, hear it and then you will know how good it is!
