Question E46 M3 Fitment on E92?

First of all, will it work?

Secondly, how does it look? I found a set of wheels that are very well priced but came off of an E46 M3 coupe. If anyone has experience with this fitment, please help me out.

find out what the wheel dimensions are for the wheel that you found and then compare them to what the stock wheels are

Or search around and find what you are looking for

I think the E46 M3 wheels are something like ET38 front and ET36 rear. It could work depending on the width of the wheels. If its 8" fronts and 9" rears it should work. You could also add some small spacers as 3 or 5mm or each corner.

We would need some offsets and tire sizes to help determine if these would fit properly.

typical M3 offset can be done on E92 as long as you use right size/brand of tires and roll the fenders. many has done it...

Correction:

The wheel is staggered set up, front is 8.5" width w/ 35mm offset, and rear is 10" width w/ 20mm offset.

The tire size is 245/35 on the front and 275/30 on the rear.

ET20 offset is too agressive on the rear. It is going to stick out too far and rub on the fender. If the offset was ET35 on the rear it would be more likely to fit. I think your tyre sizes are the maximum for the E92 coupe so the offset would need to be perfect to make it work.

Thanks. Is there a way to make it work? These wheels are almost too good of a deal to pass up..

Yes there is!

Depends how aggressive you want your car to be in regards to wheel fitment. There are a few who are into aggressive wheel fitment on here(ie Me included!) 19x10 et 20 can fit with cambering, fender rolling or shave, and/or flaring the fender as well. Tire size for that offset I would not go over 265 30 19. I am currently running 19x10 et 17 with 265 30 19. Check out Wrong Fitment Crew online or stanceworks.com, and you can get some idea how people are flushing thier cars if that is the route you are interested in.

It's all about the offset!!

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it. That was exactly what I needed.

Ghost, do you think I could do it without camber and only fender rolling? I want it to be flush, but I don't want to stretch the tires or anything super extreme.

If you actually roll and/or flare with some camber adjustment, this set up might a really nice one for you!

Make sure you take your car to a good shop (experienced in rolling and fender gap management ) to fit them.

I think the most you can do with just roll and with 265 30 19 tires is about et22-25. So to fit your et20, besides rolling, you are probably going to have to camber like me. 265 is not an extreme stretch for a 10" wide wheel.

Here you go, check it out. With my fender set-up, I'm actually going to fit a lower offset with 19x10 or go 19x10.5, not decided yet! Right now, currently running 19x10 et17 265 30 19 falken 452.
