Will a bov fix waste gate rattle?

I have been hearing a rattel a lot more after my dp install an running map 2 on my jb4. Im almost sure its the waste gate, only happens when i let off the gas at high boost an more so when its cold

No, BOV's and Wastegates have 2 separate purposes... One is bleeding off exhaust the other is bleeding off intake. Completely separate tracks unfortunately.

Any other way to fix besides taking it to BMW...

Not that I know of personally ( sorry cant be of more help ), but some of the Turbo Guru's may chime in.

If only it were that simple. The DPs will make the sound much more apparent, especially at cold start.

Yes...sound of your BOV will mask the rattle for a second...

+1 I never noticed the rattle until I installed the DPs. At first I thought I had left something loose.

i thought i let somthing loose too then thought i was touching the subframe, theposted this, http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=686497
then figured it was waste gate rattle hard core!
and didnt notice until VRSF Dps went in!
