Exclamation Very basic noob tire/rim sizing question

So I bought some rims a while back with tires on them, described as

F 19x8.5 et 20 R 19x10 et 25 M3 offsets
tires 225/35/19 255/30/19

My car is a 07 335i e90 sport package

1) what does the et 20 and et 25 mean?
2) am I supposed to have any sort of spacers or anything
3) 265/30/19 tires are easier to find.. would these work on my car, or would they cause more rub or problems?

Thanks for the help!

1) It means they are going to make the track of your car wider by 14mm/side on the front and 12mm/side on the rear. IOW, its going to give the car a more agressive stance. Normal offsets are ET34 front and ET37 rear for stock 162 rims.

2) No you won't need spacers.

3) 10" rear rims are wide, so I think 265/30/19 would be better. However the 265 might be close to rubbing depending on the brand of tire. If it was me, I'd ask the shop to trial fit the tyres to check the clearance before commiting to buying them. My local shop is ok to do this, but I guess thats not always the case.

thanks!

I'm probably going to buy tires either online or off the forums, so I won't be able to test them in shop.

My previous were 255 so i know they work there there are much fewer options and they are pricier than 265 for some reason.
