Hi,
The amp is made by Alpine and has a 4 x 80 watt RMS output with a harmonic distortion of just 0.5%.

Did you want to know something specific about the speakers?

Thanks.

Just the same info about the speakers as you gave for the amp please?

Hi,
thanks for this.

Also, it mentions in the kit list - ALL MOULDINGS...sorry but what are the mouldings?

Sorry but I can't find this information. The speakers have an aluminium membrane for improved sound quality. The rating (unknown) will be high enough to manage the power being distributed from the amplifier. The entire system has BMW approval and is designed by Alpine who are one of the worlds leading audio equipment specialists.

Mouldings refer mostly to any plastic or rubber items that are required to house any parts in the kit. For example, tweeters which are small speakers will be added into the A pillar at the front of the car. The trim/moulding will be replaced to a special one which will cover that speaker.

Hope this makes sense.

Garage List
I guess on an E91 the amp goes in the recess under the boot floor cover?

My hesitation is that because I have non RFTs, there isn't a lot of room in there (the amp looks quite big) - mostly taken up by the 12v compressor and Tyre Weld. I also have a made to measure Hatchbag so fitting it elsewhere in the boot isn't an option.

Apart from that, it seems spot on!

If you have professional radio, you can usually have the Alpine Hi Fi installed.
DAB tends to be a problem.

If you're unsure please send me your vehicle details (last 7 of vin, or original reg).

Thank you to those who have already enquired
I have a DAB,so have sent you my original vrm via pm.
Also,as Matt mentioned, can you confirm where the amp will be located on a touring please?

So that's passenger side rear space where the CD changer also goes?
Does it fit using a bracket of some sort then?

Anyone any photos?

Hello Anneka,

Just a quick question about the Alpine kits, why is it only for cars built before March 09? I have a later 09 320d Coupe and would like the kit too.

Thanks

Steven

Hi Steven, this kit is just for cars built before March 09. Cars built after require a different kit and coding. We will be starting a thread about that very soon.

If you could sort something for the later cars it would be great.

Thanks

Hi Anneka, I would be really interested in this as well.

I was going to buy the kit and have my ICE dealer fit for me, is this now not possible as my car requires coding for the new setup to function?

I have a 2010(FEB) E92.

Thanks.

Hi Chris,

The car will require both coding and programming post installation, I'm not sure whether your ICE dealer will be able to carry this out.

Thanks, looks like I'll have to give it a miss then. I wouldn't trust my dealer to fit it.
