BT scan tool 122F degrees outside!

ok so it is about 80 degrees outside today and i plugged in my BT scan tool into my 08 335xi and clicked clear faults in all modules. while its scanning the gauge cluser temp changed from 80 to 122 degrees. i waited for the scan to complete and turned the car off. i went inside and waited 30 mins for the ecu to fall asleep. i turned the car back on 30 mins later and it was down to 103 degrees. i scanned the car again and it shot back up to the same 122 degrees. why is it doing this? thanks

Funnily enough I had something similar when I was trying to code with BMWhat. It seemed to reset the time and sent the temperature sky high.

The next morning it was back to normal and I just reset the time. Weird though...

Same thing happens when coding the KOMBI module. When you write anything to that module (you're writing something when you clear codes), it shoots the temp to the max it can read which is 50ºC or 122ºF.

This. It's a calibration feature. It normally doesn't take long for it to come back down to normal.

Can you log more than 4 parameters with it at one time? For some reason when I try to do more than 4 all the graphs stop logging.
