New 2011 Original sat nav professional wont work.

I have bought an Original 2011 sat nav pro set of disks from BMW. My problem is I cant get them to work. My card is a 330i 2005. Has anyone else had similar problems?. I don't really want to have to go bank to BMW to sort it out. They said just put the disk in turn off the car and restart it after 15 minutes.

The screen will look the same, but the info and maps are updated with newer data.

I'm having the same issue.... Anyone????

It'll finally give up and say DVD read error or eject it and ask me to insert a navigation DVD...

When using Free ISO burner do I need to extract the files before burning it?

Probably... you just want to extract to *.iso files. Then use your image writing software.

Thanks for these! I found this forum after buying my 2006 325I and wanted to upgrade the maps. Torrents were fast, and I have setup my seedbox to seed the daylights out of both the east and west discs.

Well I burned the East region onto a DVD-R disk (TDK brand) and I can put the disk in the drive, and the Navi will prompt me it needs to update, and to restart system in 5 minutes. I do the reboot process, and then the unit will reboot. I goto the navi section, and the unit will tell me to insert the navigation DVD. I have tried many times, but it will not read the disk. What types of DVD (DVD-r, DVD+r, DVD+-R) have you guys gotten the drive to read?
I have a 2006 325I with iDrive and Navigation. I am not sure which navi I have

I have a 2006 325I with iDrive and Navigation. I am not sure which navi I have
DVD-R should work. Not reading the disk can be due to various factors
such as the media brand and the DVD player used to create the disk not
writing the disk with high enough intensity such that BMW's DVD player
can read it. The media I used is a Sony DVD-R.

Yes, of course you can. Just pop back in the old Navi DVD and it'll start right back up again.

New to the thread, finally looking to update my system. I have a 2006 E90 325i with the 2007 Nav disc currently. I am downloaded the torrented files from a few pages back but I am curious for those that have had success using a macbook pro which DVD burner you are using? and what disc are you using to burn?

Thanks all.

These Idrives are fickle, use a high quality DVD+R. I use HP's DVD+R. GL

Should this work on my 2005 M3?

I downloaded, unzipped and burned the iso image for the 2011 west dvd many different ways using many different programs and can't get the nav to even recognize the dvd. Should it work on my 05 m3? The disc that was in there is from 2002. Dont know if that matters or not. The nav is upgraded to v32. any suggestions? I'm too stubborn to buy one!
Thanks!

That may not work, your 05 M3 is an e46 and did not use IDrive. I can't be 100% sure that it won't, but there are different views and higher resolutions as well as options on the E9X that were not available available on the E46 nav.

I would check the E46 fanatics board and see if you can get an updated disc there.
