Value my car please.

Hi Guys. I am looking to sell my Sep 2010 E90 320D with M sport goodies pack. NN40414 if anyone wants to decode the options?

This has been a great car, super reliable. I bought it at 55,000km and it now has 148,000.

Since I purchased it, oil changes have been performed by me at 10,000km intervals. New front rotors and pads in may 2021 by me.

New battery about the same time and the rear axle seals were done (not by me).

It really is a great car. This one has the cloth trim, not leather.

I have checked carsales, most private buyers are after the full dealer service history. I only have receipts for what the mechanics did, axle seals and battery.

Only selling because we are moving to a rural property and the chances of destroying the car when i hit a roo, just arent worth risking.

Dave/ Helensburgh NSW.

Realistically around $11,000
I brought a 2010 320D coupe with lower KM last year for $12,000

I would have said $15+ at the moment given the used car shortage, but it’s a hard market to read at the moment.

Theoretically my wife’s 2015 Hyundai is worth around $15k & it was only $19990 new?! Prices are kinda nuts.

Use cars are certainly selling for more then they were pre-covid, although I had to discount the 335i I recently rebuilt and sold for 19K... cost me $20K so didn't even make my money back.... if OP was selling a 135 or 335 or even a 340d I'd agree but I hope he can get a good price for it..... I'd start advertising for $16K and see if there is any interest, at least the price can always come down

Sounds a good plan. You’re right - if a 335i can only get $19k then the 320d probably won’t be $15k.

Used car market is crazy. I should have bought a new Landcruiser in 2015 and I could probably sell it now for 50% more than what it was new?!

My sister had a 2011 Kia Rio written off with hail damage recently at around 120k and she was given $9500 by the insurance company. I couldn’t believe it - the car was only $12990 new in 2011 and I would have thought she might have been offered $2 - $3k given how low the insurance valuations normally are.
