My fucking car is sick-not good sick,poorly fucking sick,although it looks quite cool!
Could smell burning rubber part way through the drive home from work this morning.Got home and the car bottomed out on the slope up the driveway.
Looks like the suspension has dropped several inches on the front-maybe a cracked coil spring and the smell was the tyre touching the arch.
Car has just been picked up by BMW and I've got a courtesy car for four days.
Don't know what it will be-don't really care-am more worried about BMW trying to wriggle out of a warranty claim...Fuckknuckle!

I'm proper sick, been laid up on the sofa for the last three days with a bastard of a cold/flu, Saturday was a blinder of a day sunshine-wise and I was cooped up on t'sofa. Gutted to say the least.

We've (the wife has it too) gotten away with it lightly really, some friends have been laid up for 10 days with it. Nasty stuff.

Just had to setup a new Windows 8 laptop.

What a joke.

Probably great for bubble-headed numpties that live on social media, but for trying to get some serious programs and work down it is a total disaster.

There is no Start button - so you stare at the desktop, wondering how on earth to start a program. All the admin tools and low level settings are hidden away behind many clicks (after you waste hours on google to find out where they are). You first have to exit the tile front-end (no option to start on Desktop).

After running Windows Update it offered a choice of Web Browsers, I chose IE and it jumped into a version of IE that I simply could not close. No close buttons anywhere. Another bout of google searching on my own laptop required before I could actually exit a program.

Never has a laptop been so close to being ejected like a frisbee out of the window.

So, you have to simply unlearn decades of intuition .....

Installed a 3rd party Start menu program. That saved me taking the laptop and asking for my money back.

Well, I won't be moving any of my PCs or Laptops to Windows 8. I need my machines for hard work - I don't give a rat's arse about Facebook and Twatter and big coloured squares.

No wonder Microsoft is bringing back the start menu. They must be hemorrhaging sales.

Need a wee lie down now .....

Just out of a 3 hr meeting....trying to sort out an IT procurement and had some staff from our firm - plus 2 seperate consultants.

As usual consultants facilitated absolutely fuck all and wasted 3 hours of my life. This tied with the usual 'show of cock' to show whose the best.

At the end of the meeting the guy asked me to do something and i said 'so you want XYZ' .. and he said 'i hope thats not all you got from this meeting' to which i answered 'yes it was'.

Some consultants need taking outside, have the buzzword bingo dictionary shoved up their arse... and then shot.
