1k as an upgrade from some other tires,or 1k for Toyos?
1k for Toyo's is okay I think. But not if its an upgrade from another tire. edit: and one suggestion: they are not very good at protecting the lip of the rims. Consider getting a plus size in width to make up for this. For example, I have 235's in front, but they do not cover my wheel very well. I have 275's in back and they cover them perfectly. Quote:

been using them for 3 months...no complaints, but I don't have much experience to compare it too
1k is too much. I got it for $848 USD includes everything and 6% sales tax.

Have no experience with T1R's on an E90, but have had these on my MINI since spring (they replaced the dreaded runflats) and they have been excellent in wet and dry conditions.
Would not hesitate to try these on my impending E90. (next year) Oh, and mine came with a beefy rim protector band as well. |

The toyo's are great tires. They actually get better with use. once the rubber soften's up alittle the grip is great.

Toyos are fantastic, I had a set of Proxes T1S on one of my cars before and a set of Proxes S/T on another, both stuck to the road like glue. Much more comfortable ride than Pirelli's offerings but slower turn-in, they may have remedied that with the T1R's by now. I found that the T1S's didn't last very long though, only got about 8000 miles before the minimum wear indicator revealed itself (and I never spun my tires). Again, treadlife might be better with the new model

My father now uses them on his 5 series, which originally had RFT. He has also literally just had them fitted for all corners of the mothers Audi TT. He swears by them. Pointless asking my mother for her opinion, no offense mum!
Never personally tried them myself, but boy do they have an awesome looking tread pattern! |
