http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=223135 This isn't rocket science. It takes so much fuel to support so much boost. If you are not adjusting the fuel pressure the ECU can keep tabs on that fuel. So the more boost the higher the risk. 3.5psi is higher risk than 2.75psi. 2.75psi is higher risk than 1.75psi. Pick your poison, or pony up $287 for a BT cable. Mike |

Frankly if we are going to have to remove CAIs to visit the dealership, DPs are going to present a bit of a problem for anyone. I'm almost thinking the whole HPFP issue is purposefully implemented to prevent us tuning

Stop pulling numbers out of your ass. There have been SSTT that have thrown codes and CELs. Would you mind doing some research on 1Addicts/e90/Bimmerfest/etc...? Not many, up until recently, has been looking themselves for the codes because they did not have access to BT cable / GT1 to use on the SSTT. Also, just because it doesn't throw a CEL doesn't mean it throws codes.

Getting 70 29.2+ cars scanned out of 400 units sold was no easy task! But if you search you'll find several SSTT triggered detection codes as well. Like the one I linked. You seem to want to ignore them for reasons unknown? The JB+ has temperature and over-boost protection. And for the price difference you can buy a JB+ AND a BT cable. So whatever floats your boat.

The op was banned, i think he mentioned he contact Split Second, thed company that makes the SSTT, and they told him that it DOEST NOT trip any codes, then again this thread is old and things might have changed since.
