Driving home after oil change, two miles later, says add 1 quart...

Don't know if it's a computer calibration error, or a mechanic's mistake. Either way, don't want to add a quart for fear of overfilling, what to do?

Take it back. You are probably missing the top plug and it has made an oily mess in the engine bay.
