Euro Intake - OK with BMW US Maintenance?

I'm interested in getting the Euro intake for the N52 engine. My car has maintenance included for the next 70k miles or 4 years. Will it be a problem with a US dealer and the round Euro filter?

I'm guessing the worst case scenario is I would have to source the round filter from ECS and provide it to the dealer when the car goes in for routine maintenance (assuming US dealers can't get the Euro filter readily)?

filter

You can order the K&N brand filter from the ECS website. Million mile warranty on them. They need to be cleaned about every 50,000 miles depending on your climate. Easy to do. I've had them in all my vehicles and have been very happy with them. My dealer has never said one word about the intake. My understanding if it is a BMW part or accessory you should be good to go warranty wise.

Dry

Technically it is illegal if your state has the CA emission standard because it does not include a carbon filter.
