Is the dealership bsing me about my DME?

Hey as some of you guys may know from my previous post, my water pump went bad a little while ago. Dealership has had my car for over a week and a half now because they could not figure out what was wrong with my car .... They first told me that my ibs sensor went bad then my alternator so they went ahead and replaced that but now they're saying my DME shorted so it was throwing all kinds of codes .. So they said both the ibs and alternator were fine so they replaced the original ones back .. Now this wasn't happening until after they found my jb4 and asked me if they could remove it . They wanted to remove it so that they can reprogram the dme . All this doesn't add up!! Right before they towed me car I read the codes with the jb4 and it only gave me 3 codes , 2 of them were water pump related and the other was the common code (2aff). When I called and asked how many codes were showing he said 30+. Did the tech reconnect the dme wrong when removing my jb4 or what ?!

FYI I didn't have any time or tools to remove any mods as the water pump was unexpected and i was in the middle of no where on the highway.

very possible that they mixed up the white with the grey subconnector when putting it back. (one goes on the large connector side, the other on the small)
or even the 2 smaller ones with-in the small side subconnecter holder

on the large side the GREY goes.
on the small side, the WHITE goes in the front of the car spot, and the BLACK goes towards the rear

youd be surprised
i wouldnt bet on it........there is really no reason they would ever have experience taking the subconnectors out of the holders, they most likley always leave them in there and go straight for the DME.

unfortunatly your already pretty F'd if they want to F you for any reason bc they know you have a JB4 but thats a different story

Tow the car to an INDY if you are out of warranty for a second opinion. The dealer cannot deny warranty work unless they can prove the JB4 caused the failure, if you are still under warranty. Contact BMWNA if that is the case. GL!
