6000K Philips D1S
Not the cheap "Made in China" stuff. This is the real deal Philips Ultinon Xenstart 6000K D1S. Came off of my E92 M3, had them on for about 6 months. $150 shipped

You can't even swear with correct grammar.......
There's a lot that's wrong with "Made in China". Having grown up in Hong Kong, I'm always leery of products made in China. You can never tell the quality, whether it has been tempered with, or how much corners they have cut to maximize their profit. Sorry, don't have pics with them on the car, coz I already removed them. I installed my OSS headlight last week and went back to the 4300K D1S. I can definitely hook you up with the D1S, PM me.

would fit any E9X with xenon headlights, difference is that the 6000K is more of an icy white with no hint of yellow at all

Hi Kev,
I'll have these off you right now if you'll post to London, UK! Can pay by paypal... I'm sure you know what bulbs you have but do you mean they're the Philips Ultra Blue 6000k bulbs as I thought the Xenstart was only 4300k? Let me know mate Last edited by AdamZA; 04-06-2010 at 06:37 AM.. |

Just curious, why did you go back to 4300k? I'm going to install OSS sometime in the future.. and was planninig to get philips D1s 8000k bulb. Would it not look good?

8000k wont illuminate a damn thing. You will have a true blue hue, which will look good but don't expect to see too much during night driving. I would not go higher then 6000k.

I'm getting mixed answers on this but most people who really do own the 8000k all says it's not too much light lost. As long it's not dangerous I'm fine with losing a bit of output. Especially since my previous car had halogen lighting I don't think the reduced light output will have an effect on me at all.

That was on my previous car though and now I want to go back to the 6000k rather than stock 4100k. Just prefer the pureness of the white colour and the nice blue cut off lines that the projectors make! If these are still available Kev and you don't mind shipping overseas at my cost then remember I asked first Can also do it through ebay or something if you're hesitant. |
