LCI rear lights recall

Hi Guys,
anyone knows if there is a recall for LCI rear lights as they tend to lose their brightness?
Thanks.

That's encouraging, I'd better stop using the brakes

The 2009/2010 LCI tourers have a known defect with water ingress into the rear light cluster which makes the LEDs fail bit by bit.

They changed them all at service in the US, but not here of course.

My N/S one went when a year old, was changed under warranty, but they wouldn't change the other one even though it is a known issue, so now i'm waiting for that one to fail....

It's a sealed unit, £175 for the lot if it fails.

Bwahaha the brake bars melt? Seriously?

This is for sure if my car is under warranty and LED lights fail there's no way I'm paying for them... LEDs are not consumables heh.

Ian,
Bars are always on when headlights are on.

Our E91 LCI rear lights were replaced ages ago because of a service bulletin or similar.
Was done at same time as a service.

Good to know. I'll definitely be asking my adviser about this.

Typical in UK we get short changed. But on a side note any ideas on how to spot this. My LCI is now coming up to 4 years. Apart from the xenons looking a bit dimm can say I have seen anything on the rear but then how often do you see back of your car at night driving.

Is this really a wide-ranging problem? My 59 has done >40k and (to my knowledge) hasn't had them changed - no issues so far.

Is it a complete failure or just a slight, dis-satisfying dimming? Pictures anyone?

Was a complete surprise when told they'd been changed, nothing noticed beforehand.
