R1Concepts Rotors

I've been looking into aftermarket rotor options for the upcoming spring, and I came across the R1Concepts premium rotors, I cant find much feedback about them on the forums. Anyone have any experience with these or know about them? I’m using my car as a daily driver along with some spirited driving, also planning on taking it to a track this summer. So I’m looking for something reliable. Also does anyone have any other suggestions for slotted rotors? I saw a lot of bad reviews for the stoptech and dba4000. How are Zimmermann and EBC?

I have been using R1 Concepts C/D rotors for the last year and I luv them! I'm on my second set of front rotors because Cool carbon brake pads ruined my first set within 2 months of installing them. Now I using OEM brake pads and couldnt be happier! OP, if you plan on buying from R1 Concepts, pay the extra cash and get the premium rotors. If you are serious about ordering, lemme know? I believe I still have a 5% or 10% coupon code for being a loyal customer. I'll hook ya up! BTW, check my album for pics of rotors on my car.

Thanks for the info! i have been looking at these forums for the past month or so trying to find out about all the different rotors. R1concepts is the one that looked best to me but could never find many reviews about them. glad to know they're working out. I would only go with the premium rotors. also i was considering either akebono euro pads or ebc redstuff

I would do some extensive research on choosing aftermarket brake pads. If they are not properly broken in, they could warp your rotors.

did your brakes make any noise or light squeal initially when you just had them installed?

which rotors did the cc ruin? the r1 premiums, the reg version or the stock rotors? i have cc on my stock rotors but i think they are too much of an aggressive pad for stock rotors

I am looking to replace rotor in a month or so. After searching around, I decided to go with r1concept premium rotor and porterfield r4-s brake pad. Not many review on rotor, but looks like it's quality piece.

They ruined my R1 cponcepts premium X/drilled rotors! I had to get a new set and purchased OEM brake pads. Works great!

i paired up my r1 premium custom slotted with EBC redstuff, had to do about 4 bed in cycles to get them properly bedded an stop squealing but now they're prefect! nice linear brake feel and they stop on a dime. SS lines will be added next
