MSC...Got the oil change today. Pretty nice place, the guy who runs it has a lot of experience with BMWs. I was out of there in half an hour. Let me know if you have any questions.

hmm... perhaps I was wrong then. Anyways, I think most people are gonna be doing the BMW ultimate driving event there, where you test out the 3-series vs. A4 vs. C-class.

NE Ohio Events for THIS Saturday (day-after-tomorrow) if you want to join us.
MEET, DRIVE & RESTORATION SHOP TOUR Since we only have a month left of good weather, we’re going to do a meet and drive this Saturday! We are meeting at Panera Bread at Harvard and Richmond Rd at 930am. The drive will depart at 10am, and it’s about a 40-mile drive up Chagrin River and through Kirtland. The destination is Chardon, OH, where we will be given a tour of Vintage & Auto Rebuilds, a local shop that specializes in concours restorations, especially Rolls-Royce. If you wish to meet us at the restoration shop, we’ll arrive there about 11:15am. THE BEST RACE IN OHIO NOW….for the second event. Lake County Speedway has the BEST race on the planet twice a year. It is the “Figure-8 Camper Pull”. This is 15+ vehicles hauling campers or boat trailers, racing all-out on a 1/4mile figure eight track. The last vehicle moving with trailer attached is the winner. I have been three times….it is seriously the BEST entertainment, ever. The regular racing starts at 630pm – if you want a decent seat, meet us there at 6pm – this event sells out. (camper race usually starts at about 9pm) DO NOT bring your sports/exotic car – drive your beater. Details, maps, and directions: Panera Bread Google Maps Vintage & Auto Rebuilds Google Maps Lake County Speedway Google Maps Speedway Website

First pictures of my ride...
Hi guys, picked up a 07 335i about a month back, after selling the 04 Audi S4 I had. Always been a Bimmer fan (this is my 4th 3 series but my first e90), switched to Audi in between for about an year.
Took the car out this weekend for a quick photo shoot (shot by yours truly). It is still stock except for the black grills... |

Hey everyone, not new to the forum, just never checked in on this thread. Driving a TiAg '06 330i sport package that I picked up last August with only 9k miles on it. It was a twin of Mad Max's 335, minus the turbo and dual exhaust....
Since I had a winter car last year I never worried about driving this in the snow but that will change this year. That being said, anyone know of a set of winter wheels and tires locally to N.E. Ohio they are looking to sell? I know there is a set in the F/S section in Cle but price is a bit steep, although I have not haggled yet. I would also be interested in a set of winter tires in the 225-40-18 size that I could put on the 162 wheels. Its a good excuse to upgrade to 19's for the summer, right? Anyone knows of anything, let me know. Thanks! |

Chewy, any more of those get-together's you posted before? I'm in the Akron area but don't mind the drive up that way, plus it might be kinda cool to meet up with other bimmer enthusiasts.....

So how screwed would I be if I decide to drive with no front license plate in the Columbus area. I rarely see a cop as it is anyways, I don't plan on parking in public areas.
Follow up question: If I do get pulled over is the fine for not displaying the front license plate a non-moving violation, meaning just a monetary fine? Last edited by Disciple7; 10-24-2010 at 06:54 AM.. |

A cop probably isnt going to pull you over for no front plate unless its like a holiday or late at night, and really its an excuse to check if you have been drinking. If you get pulled over for speeding or some other infraction, they may write you up for no front plate at that time.

Yeah, there might be another one coming up soon. I'll post details here later today. Quote:
From now on.... license plate on the front. Yeah, it looks better without one, but $140 a pop isn't pocket change either. You can also get some no-drill mounts as well. Oh yeah, and it's a non-moving violation (e.g. your insurance never hears about it). But, some places allow for a fix-it ticket, while other don't (I had to pay the full fine, which sucked ass).
