This is encouraging. Might have to keep the 335 after all if there is a reliable turbo upgrade in the works.

This car is quite the machine. We have been dissecting it the past couple of days. Just now I was taking the downpipes off to see what kind of room we are going to have to work with in the way of a turbo. Its tight, but it can be done.

The turbo inlet tubes on the stock turbos are TINY... I could barely get a couple of fingers into them. We are working on improving this right now.

On top of that JRZ has got us a set of their super nice coilovers. For those that are unfamiliar with JRZ they are on the top of the food chain with suspension. Their quality is at that of Moton or better.

i have been looking for 335 coilovers that can keep me at STOCK (NOT bmw sport) height. i have ground clearance issues where i am, but want better handling. installing pss10 bilsteins at the highest setting still lowers my car about an inch (15mm).

any comment of who has these colivovers??

I'm sure this can be done with JRZ's as the body of the shock as a ton or room for adjustment.

We are very lucky to have AMS jumping into the mod buisiness for our cars.I,m coming from 2 modded Evo,s before my 335.I know what AMS is capable of doing for us.Look what they did and are still doing with the Mitsubishi.Look into them and you will see what performance and reliability they have under there belt.BTW hows having the fastest Evo in the world sound.Cant wait until they really get going on the BMW.s.

welcome to the forum guys and its awesome to see you guys step in the N54 market. There are a lot of mods that I'd love to see from you guys since I believe you might be the only one to be able to get right. One of these which I'm surprised that no one has mentioned yet, but I'm willing to pay anything for a stall/torque converter for us with Auto trannys. There are a lot of good options for exhausts, intake, downpipes, intercooler, etc on the market but a torque converter, there isnt any. and i bet there are a lot of people out there who'd want one including myself. If you guys can have that made and a well priced LSD, I'd be the first in line to get my hands on them.

Eric, it is nice to read your progress. Is your plan to work with the stock manifold, or redesign it for your new turbo's? Are you planning on staying twins or going single? You have seen the room there is, so you opinion is of high interest to me.

Garage List
With AMS working on a turbo kit, I'm glad I haven't bought some of the aftermarket parts currently available. Would, say any of the IC's currently available, work with their kit? Probably not due to piping right? Also goes for DP's and exhausts I suppose.

Whatever parts we make for this car we will make the as modular as possible. Meaning we will try to make is so if you buy an AMS part you will not have to buy another one to make a future AMS mod work.

For instance check our our exhaust poll in this section. I LOVE the idea.

On the turbo front. the more we look at it and based on the size of the engine I like the idea of one single. Its cleaner, simpler, will spool like a mother and last but not least...its CHEAPER for the customer.

We have made 500whp on 93 octane on Garret GT Turbos with a 2.0 evo motor....image a 3.0 inline 6....YUM!

well considering that the founders of jrz were the head engineers at moton, you'd figure that?

Eric, from what it sounds like you will be redesigning a new manifold then? Completely new DP's and midpipes? Do you have a fuel solution yet? Are you thinking of something like a GT-60?

lol I don't think he is going to tell you which turbo he is going to use at this time! haha, I doubt he will even tell you for sure that he will be going single (though we all assume that is the case by now).

Zeph, there is nothing to hide. From the output he is talking about there is no secret in the turbos available. If he is going Garrett and wants fast spool, then the GT-60 is a phenomenal choice. I this engine that would spool by 1800 and hit full boost in the 2x psi level under 3700 rpm. Garrett makes a heck of a turbo.
