merle end link install
I removed my merle hd end links and to try and find a rattle but when I went to reinstall them . . there is no oposing nut to keep the bolt from turning when I try and tighten it. there is a plastic end cap . .does that come off to access the opposing bolt . . doesnt look like it will come off without damaging it.

Ya
I definitely like the female hex key approach over the usual male hex typically found on the top end of shock strut - even with the correct tool, I have found that small male hex likes to simply twist & break off once the shocks have been in use for quite some time
