E92 - Shaking Xenon Headlights SIB
I have had the most annoying problem with my headlights shaking over any bumps / irregularities in the road. I have brought it to the shop multiple times and was told that this was regular with the xenon lights.
The dealership finally (after three times) fixed the problem using this SIB: http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/bulletins/...p/B631007g.htm To any one else with this problem who gets the runaround about this being normal, hope this helps. |

Thanks for the TIB! I have a E90 and mines shakes over bumps when I have them in "auto" mode, but they are fine on manual mode. I have read that this is normal but thanks to you, I can hopefully get this fixed!
P.S. I see that this applies to the E92 and E93 but my E90 was built in May of '05 so I'm bringing this in! Plus, the E92 and E93 were not made that early right? Danny

They have one for the E90 that's been out. Bring this in:

Those are the only two for lights that I know about...bring them in if your lights are shaking and they can still use it as a go-by to diagnose your problem...
You're gonna need to press them about it to - they usually give the standard answer of not being able to find it or it being normal unless you persist. My lights would shake all over the place and now they don't even shudder on potholes. It was a huge difference and worth trying. Hope it helps |
