20k service????
So I'm around 20k right now and today it says my service is long overdue or something. What service gets done at 20k? I had my first full service at 16k... is this to check on the brakes? hella sucks cause I don't get another break until a while from now... and i need my car.

i'm not 25 so i can't get a loaner, plus i'm assuming the service should take under a day, but i'm usually not near my dealership... usually 120 miles away... lols.

well from what i recall most people have their first full service around 12-18k depending on how they drive. I had mine at 16k...but for some reason my computer reads that I should have had another service at around 19.5k miles. I'm not too sure what it is...but I do remember my technician during the summer saying that I should bring it in sometime this year for brakes or something. I'm not too sure... I would call in but tomorrow's Saturday... and i dont think they work saturdays.

yea if they cant get you a loaner from the dealer enterprize rents to people 21 and over..have them cover the tab on that for you. As for your service, the oil is typically done 12-18k i guess but the microfilters, brake fluid, air filter, etc are all done at different times. Ive had it happen where someone came in for an oil change, and needed a microfilter in like 3k but i couldnt put it in because they werent within 500 miles of when it was due...so BMW wouldnt pay for it

I was going to call you on this statement but I Googled it first... I was flabbergasted to read that 17 states have annual or bi-annual "safety" inspections! I'm not sure if 17/50 counts as "most" but I was sure that it was only a handful.
