Quick Oil Change Question

Car has 8k on it and after reading some of the posts I have decided to do an oil change this weekend.

What oil do I use?

and

Does everyone agree I should get it done?

Mighty Thanks.

I agree you should get it done.

Dealer oil is good quality at a good price. Plus I'm sure there's a bunch of posts on this board about which oil to use. Also you can check out this thread from "Bob is the Oil Guy".

My first oil change was at 1000 miles to get rid of break-in metal shavings. Did a second one at 4000. BMW did the 1 year oil change at 9000. Use BMW Synthetic. Very good price after you apply BMWCCA discount.
