Dyno Numbers.....JB3 2.0,DPs, FMIC, ....etc

Along with Dfries, Nick.CBR and Ajvee, It was my first trip to the dyno with this car. ( I know, should've gotten a baseline...I just couldn't help myself from buying parts before I even had the car)

Anyways, here are my stats.

E90 335i
JB3 2.0, MAP 3 only
VK Downpipes, Ceramic coated and wrapped
AMS Intercooler
CP-E Charge Pipe/Tial BOV
Top Speed Exhaust
93 Octane
Elevation: 1100 ft, 50 degrees, ???humidity
Dynojet Dyno

Another thing to note...I've got Forgestar F14s (18lbs each)...I would think this has to make SOME difference???

379 HP
392 TQ

I was intending on running MAP 7, but long story short I had my pedal mapping disabled and my laptop crashed the night before...of course.

For map 3, I'm very happy with these numbers! I'd say any daily driver with 350+hp is amazing.

Now I'm trying to resist Meth, but this stuff is just too addicting.

Cheers,
Brian

Yep damn fine numbers on map 3. You can easily top 400 on map 9.

We all felt the dyno was reading a little high...A 335 with just procede v1 and DCI ran 360hp... and a bone stock 135 ran 280hp. Ajvee please correct me if I got that mixed up.

well 280hp is what I got stock.. but still 379hp on Map3 is kinda of a bit far fetched.. but if it is.. turn on map7 and you'll be in the 400+ on pump.

if he hit those numbers on 5 i would believe it but seeing almost 380 whp on map 3 is wild it could be a couple different things

1. the dyno configuration was wrong

2. you thought you was on 3 and really on 6

3. terry messed something up and gave you the most powerful jb3 out.

Not quite sure what to think. For some reason I don't think 379 is wayyyy above expected...considering the mods and odd variances that exist from car to car. For example, two IDENTICAL cars (identical tune, identical software, identical intake) had a difference of 30whp. Some cars simply make more power for no apparant reason.

In addition, I only peaked 14.6 PSI...normally map 7 brings me up to 16.2+ (and that's in Feb/March). I'm not trying to defend anything here...it does seem high for map 3. I don't know what else to think though.

The dyno printout states: SAE 5%...if that makes sense for a CF

Perhaps one of the other guys can confirm.

Those results are impressive. Do you have results from other other cars for a context? Maybe if everyone is a little high that makes more sense.
