I am still having one made but wanted to give this a shot for "the community". I really like the HKS and this is as close as it gets at 1/3 the price. My fabricator is swamped right now and the car has no exhaust on it...

I needed something and my guy couldn't start for over a month.

I have a Prius as a back up car and am thinking that, in light of recent events and recalls, I'd be better off driving the BMW with no exhaust!

Sounds perfect. Although I have a 3 story walk up.

I'm pretty broke at this point from grad school but I cant decide if I really love my magnaflow pipes or not and I wouldn't mind changing the tips I have on there so this could possibly be an eventual upgrade if you plan on selling after.

It arrived!!!!

OK, so the kit arrived today. I didn't have time to get it installed, but it is a VERY impressive looking system. The welds look awesome, the flanges are very solid, and the overall appearance of the kit I'd rate a 9.

Here are some pictures. I'll be doing a fully documented review which will include pictures and some audio/video clips.

With any luck, I will get it installed tomorrow.

John

I have a break right in the beginning of march for a week. I'll be away for a few days but I think its time for an AZ meet.

I am sure it sounds nice...Your so lucky that cheapo exhaust comes with resonators because any exhaust without resonators and fully catless will be loud, really loud on cold startups especially!

Cold starts are loud without cats regardless, though I'm sufficiently pleased with the exhaust note so far.

I just spoke with Aaron at TopSpeed and he confirmed with the manufacture that the exhausts are T-304 stainless steel. Sometimes the stainless gets a corrosion look from road salt in the winter. But you should be able to get some stainless polishing cream and it will be perfect..

Any updates, John?
