Everyone's going to bash each other no matter what. I've had a n51 / n54 / n55. Power is one thing, but being it a BMW is a better car than most cars on the road

Cheapest 335 in my area (within 200 miles): 24,000
Cheapest 335 in my area thats white: 30,999 Additional cost of cosmetics that I'd have to (want to) redo: At least 2k Trade in value of a 06 330: 13k if you're lucky, hell Ill even say 15k even though no one is going to get that much. So after its all said and done, to get a 335 bone stock performance wise I'd have to spend 9,000 to get a car that isnt the color I want, doesnt have all the options I want, and has absolutely nothing done to it cosmetically. To get one that I would be happy with? 18 THOUSAND more. Or I could buy Gavin's supercharger and have power I'm content with and all the things I've come to love about this car. Total cost: 6,500 |

I am doing road testing all this week, and am noticing a few things I want to change - the intake itself I am not happy with and I think a better setup can be had that will offer better airflow overall.
Also under 2.5K rpms, it's running too rich at the moment. Im hoping the OEM ECU will figure that out and lean it up a bit in the bottom so it doesnt get bogged down when it's not in boost. After the 2.5K mark its very quick, the instant boost starts to build the car is off like a prom dress. I will do some videos of 40-100mph or 60-120mph - to give you guys an idea of how it moves currently. Keep in mind that this is still in development, so anything I say is an "issue" is something we are still working on and will remedy long before this is available to anyone. Off to hit the open road and log some miles in this annoying 100° heat If anyone has questions and I am slow to respond on E90post, drop me an email and it will come to me wherever I am in the world. - Gavin@mmotorwerks.net |

Also to put it in context the cheapest 335 in your area is going for 17,300, and a rough average of 21k for the rest of them. That means your about 3-5k off the normal sale point for the cheapest 335 around, and 7-9k off the average price. So in your area the pricing is a little closer and for you it is worth it to grab a 335 if your happy with stock looks at the end of the day. But if you consider adding in all the mods you may have done to your car (or that I did to mine) the price gap widens a little bit. Honestly though I envy the price you sold your car for, and the median price of 335's in your area. Wish I lived there. |

Finally got time to do some runs and some data logging for the BETA kit, here is one in DS mode, from a resting 40, to 100mph.
Also have some data logs from the BT tool, With coolant and oil temps, Speed, RPM, and actual Tq Value. It covers about an hour of driving, including these runs. Showed a Max of 336Nm @5100rpm, Automatic 328i. Once I get a clean way to put them up I will do that for you guys to check out. |

Hello. I would like to understand the differences between zf and gm transmissions. If theres an informative thread someone can point me to (ive searched but havent found anything) or just give a short description that would be helpful and appreciated.
Cheers. |

I changed the intake last night after doing these runs, and I can feel a total change - the car is breathing much better now and I want to do better runs. From my count it went 40mph-100mph in 9.5secs - and if I am not holding a camera I know I can get that down to 9sec flat. To my knowledge a stock 335 N54 is about 10.1Sec 40-100mph. If anyone local to me has a 335 and they want to come play with me - I would love to have you out for a shoot and some fun. I have some Excel sheets form all the data logging, do you guys want the Excel's or should I attempt to chart it all out in a JPG? (its a ton of data) |

Thanks for the update Gavin.
Excel would be great, as long as the sheets, columns, and rows are labeled, so we know what we're looking at.

More data is always better. Whatever you're willing to show. I'd really like to see some 0-60, or head to head with a stock 328/330/335. Especially with the new intake your talking about.
