After alignment disaster, THIS IS WHY U GO tO BMW

I just got a alignment done for the car today, and they were not able to do it correctly and needed weights to weigh the car down. So they didn't charge me and told soon as they get the weights in they will do a free alignment no charge. Since the alignment the alignment is completely wack and my steering wheel isn't centered anymore. I got a circle exclamation mark with parenthesis around it on my dash along with the brake sign in yellow and and the traction control sign in yellow as well. My traction control is not working either, am going to take the car back in , does anyone know what the exact picture means? I will post a picture shortly

Sounds like a bad case of, "I need to ask/tell e90post about my issue while I'm at the tire store through my phone because they will know exactly what's wrong with my car and will be able to fix the problem for me right away but sadly when I check the first few posts to my topic, the answers given weren't what I was looking for so my thread goes to waste, and now I don't feel like continuing the thread because my self esteem lowered slightly"

and in all honesty I didn't really understand your post either, the above writing was just me imitating how your post sounded like sorry!
But I think if you got lights on similar to what your describing after alignment (dont see pictures) probably means it wasn't done properly I would try another alignment
if you go in z4 forums (or google) and search exactly your problem you will find that others had this similar issues, and it came from abs or traction control sensors. just trying to start some conversation, as I'm sure others may have other opinions too

Sounds like they totally facked up your car. It looks like they broke a wheel speed sensor wire, which is why your ABS and traction control warning are coming up. And they got the steering all out of whack. I'd go back, tell them the total facked up your car, and that you are taking it to a BMW dealer to get corrected and will send them the bill.

Sounds like the steering angle sensor needs to be reset. You should have no problem getting the car aligned somewhere other than the BWM dealer.

Looks like you paid for what you got....

An alignment at the bmw dealer should be no more than $120-150 and unless you're hitting curbs left and right or potholes etc, you shouldn't need one more than once a year or when you get new tires.

Turn your wheel lock to lock a few times and that shit usually goes away.

What in the hell is a disater???

These cars require a healthy attention to detail. Unless English is ur second language, your post clear evidence of your lack there of....

Pay attention. Be vigilant and proactive. Research, otherwise your car will own you rather than you owning your car.

Mann I'm so sorry to hear that. I feel your pain as I had a similar experience YEARS ago with my old old pontiac grand prix (yes I upgraded lol). One place just couldn't get it right. Yours seems a bit worse tho since you have more issues now than just a bad alignment. I would take it to BMW since you don't know what the exact issue is now.

But your thread title is a pet peeve of mine! You should find an Independent shop you trust, other than the BMW dealership. It's a must. I have two, and would let them do just about anything on my car.

Perhaps my negative karma for that comment caught up with me on the way home today. Hit a MASSIVE pothole in Pittsburgh that made me want to cry.

I had the same problem several months ago and I'm still upset about it.

Hahaha well played sir, well played.

OP: You don't need to go to a dealer to get an alignment done - Any alignment shop should be able to handle it. If this one can't, tell them you can't wait and get it done somewhere else. They didn't charge you anyways.
