911 for a 325?
Yep, it's true... I did trade my 911 C4 Cabrio for a 325. Just yesterday. Alot of people are shocked, but those who know me think it's a totally rational decision. And what the hell, it's paid off.
I stopped by the dealer to look at the 5 series and maybe get a glimpse of the new 3, but fell in love with the Black over Terra 3 series. The Terra is the perfect interior color, I think the next closest color is the brown in the Carrera GT. The 5 was very nice, but since I don't have any kids and don't have passengers often, why spend the extra money. Only about 50 miles on the 3 now and love the car. They are the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in a car, ok one of the most. Check out the pics, I do have more on my website; http://www.losingtime.com/bmw Last edited by Petercat; 06-26-2005 at 05:25 PM.. |

I agree, the Terra is really eye-catching, enough that I've changed my mind from black interior to the Terra. I've asked some others this question so I'll pose it to you as well. What do you think of the black airbag covers on the sides of the front seats? That was my only concern about ordering the Terra, because I thought it was a bit overdone here and looked rather cheap from the photos. Love the two-tone black/terra contrast everywhere else though... |

what black air bag covers? I don't see it in the picture. But I ordered Terra with aluminum. I think it look awesome because terra is a dark color with aluminum to contrast it. I wanted the beige but it gets dirty too easily. And terra is special to the 3. ;p

I think the black that you see is actually the seat belt...
The Terra covers the entire seat, except the black plastic on back where your passengers kick. There really isn't any part of the car that I think feels cheap at all. I am a huge fan of the Terra. I loved it when I saw it online, but the website does no justice for it. When I saw it on the showroom floor, I jumped in and told the salesman to put a sold sticker on it. Before I even drove it. I made him wait in the car to be sure it didn't sell while I test drove another one. He had actually built out the car for his wife, but then BMW gave him a deal on the 5 series so I had a chance to buy the car he ordered. I love it. I'm afraid to tell too many people to get the Terra, bucause I like how unique it is, but you will not be sorry. There is already alot of beige or black in other cars. Not to disagree that a Black on Black 3 series is a classic. Seriously, the Porsche was no big deal. I would own one again, but not as a daily driver. It was an awesome opportunity to get speeding tickets, but didn't suit my daily needs. I love the BMW so far. There is not a single point of criticism yet. |

Check out Jwocky's image on the interior thread (first page, about 1/3 of the way down) - tried to copy the image but it didn't work. That's what I was referring to re: the black side airbag covers. I'm really relieved that yours are same-color. The image, I'm fairly certain is of a Euro model due to the titanium steering wheel trim. Thanks for checking on this for me!

Yep, I have solid leather down the sides of my seats, no airbag panel at all. I do agree, they look cheap. I would have been disappointed if I had it on my car. I also don't have the nets on the back either.

It is so awesome!!! It is so incredibly smooth on the autobahn. I just finish putting over 100 miles on her tonight. I really had to hold myself back many times as other cars were zooming past me. 900 more miles and then I'll let her loose.

Just picked up my car 3 days ago. Unfortunately, I accidentally parked my car under a tree and got tree sap, so I sent my car to a detailer to clean out the spots and have them detail the car and put on a coal of wax sealant, called "Touch of Glass," also tinting my window with Suntek 43%. At the mean time, while I am waiting for my car to come back, here are some pic of the car freshly off the dealer lot. Enjoy!
