My "random" seems broken differently than everybody else's
I'm aware that pushing "forward" in random mode goes to the next song in the playlist/folder/album rather than the next random track, but in my case that seems to happen even when finishing a song and moving to the next.
I have the MOST ipod adapter (not 6FL) and no iDrive. When I click "RND" I get a checkbox next to it and the iPod jumps to a random "track" in the current "disk". When that song completes, it starts the next song, and so forth. If I click "RND" again, the check clears. If I click it a third time, it gets checked, and jumps to another random track, and continues playing in a linear manner. I've mostly worked around the issue with the shuffled smart playlist that another poster suggested, but based on the UI I can't imagine this is expected behavior. Has anybody else seen this issue, or is my car just eccentric? |
