All speakers mysteriously silent! NO AUDIO

I have an 08 e92 335i with idrive and logic 7 i think. I was washing my car the other day just as I regularly do and once i Started up my car no sound what so ever. I did accidentally leave the key in the ignition while washing which took close to an hour! I did check the amp and there was no moister near, I also disconnected the battery and fuses but still nothing! Please help! Any knowledge will be greatly appreciated!

Radio, media, aux input, no sound from anything at all?

Any scratching noises when you plug things in or twist the volume knob? Try using the steering wheel as well.

Check all of your fuses.

Check wiring to the amp.

Pray to the Bavarian Gods.

as weird as this sounds, when you're driving it, take your seatbelt off until the alert flashes on your dash. The sound very well might come back on.

This happens to me everytime there is a full moon and my dog is in heat. The radio stops playing sound, i start to freak out that there's another $2k repair bill and then I remember to unhook my seatbelt and the problem fixes itself when the chimes come back on.

Did any water get into the trunk at all and damage the amp?

I thought I was the only one! Lol I end up turning my volume really high and then that gong scares the hell out of me. Happened only 2 times on my ownership of 2 years

I'd also look in the bottom of the trunk where the amp lives to see if it's under water. (With the CCA discount, the base amp was about $20 more than my insurance deductible, IIRC!)

But the Bavarian poltergeist exorcism ritual with the seat belt is certainly worth a try first!

Most common problem is water on the amp

Most common problem is water on the amp

The car can also turn of accessorizes if the battery is low.
Try charging the battery and I mean a slow full charge.
