Hual Africa, west coast delivery 12-15, Anyone else?
Found out today that my car is on the Hual Africa! Left Bremerhaven 11/23, scheduled for Port Huemene on the 13th.
Anyone else? Hual Africa 25 Bremerhaven 22.11.2006 22.11.2006 Southampton 24.11.2006 24.11.2006 Long Beach 12.12.2006 12.12.2006 Port Hueneme 13.12.2006 13.12.2006 (was told by CA 12-15) Can't find it on AIS right now. Shows that it is already running a day behind schedule, due to arrive 11-25 in Southhampton. But here is the Hual Africa at port on the 22nd. Last edited by F30Toad; 11-24-2006 at 03:50 PM.. |

Didn't make it
Sadly it looks like my 335i (built last week) didn't make it on the Hual Africa. I'm hoping it gets on the Sagittarius Leader, which is sitting in port now and due to sail on the 26th. I've been trying to track both boats all week, heh, and always have a webcam up of the auto terminal in Bremerhaven.

I have been looking at that webcam too. Never did see the Hual due to other boats in the way. Looked like the Sag was visible way in the background earlier today based on where AIS showed it docked. The Hual finally showed up on AIS today just outside Southhampton. Another step closer. |

My car thankfully made it aboard! I was about to lose hope of getting it this year.

Good to have you aboard wistarf. Was hoping my trip would not be a solo.
Info from Southhaven says the Hual is scheduled to depart 11/25 "PM", but does not give a time yet. Still parked where you showed it. |

It arrived at port around 6:00 am London time (GMT or Zulu). It's 3 PM GMT now, so I would guess it will leave the port some time in the next few hours. I wish we could set up an automatic alert when the ship starts moving again. Would be fun to track it out of the port before we lose sight of it. Here's a web cam of Southampton port http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/webcams.htm. (damn the image just went down... this site is also broadcasting the same web cam image: http://www.bbc.co.uk/hampshire/conte...s_webcam.shtml) According to AISLive site, the Hual Africa is at the QEII cruise terminal in slip 39 which is directly in sight of the web cam image. Looks like pretty lousy weather, but the sun just came out briefly allowing me to spot the Hual Africa just behind the Morning Calm (also owned by Höegh Autoliners so they look alike.) Nice, very similar to the coupe I test drove the day I ordered my car since they didn't have an E90 335i. Was so glad I waited for a 335 instead of the 330, the engine makes a huge difference.
Manual, sport and premium really are the musts in my book, after the twin-turbo engine of course.:rocks: After driving my brother-in-law's 05 vette around for a week this summer, I fell in love with its version of CA and have several friends with Sat Radio that say they love it, so I decided to spring for those. Since this is my first new car ever, I decided to go for something special in the interior department with the Lemon. |

Hopefully our ship uses this service as it crosses the Atlantic so we can see its progress.

According to the "shipping movements" page, it should set sail a 6pm, about an hour. |

Ok, what are we suppose to do for the next week while our ship is in the Atlantic?
And, does anyone know how long will it take to get to the canal? I can't get free ais for the east coast or gulf, can anyone else? |
