Awesome! If they can come through with a reliable kit this will give the N52 a new lease on life! Count me in.

yeah... the whole trading up thing is kinda silly. cars aren't assests... trading/selling and getting new cars every 3-5 years isn't economical.

330is came with the ZF tranny, unlike the 325/328's
However, I don't think it is the same one as the 335's so I don't know what kind of power limits it can hanfle Finally a big name jumps into the game!

I've heard that ess and vf where suppose to come out with a n52 SC kit for about 2 years now and so far the only other people that have shown to have it was arma so I'm hoping this isn't another hoax

I'm hoping ESS does come out with it. No disrespect to ARMA but they don't have an established reputation.

@francis yeah i totally agree and i haven't seen or heard too much from arma and seeing that their hq is overseas, i'm not to fond of the idea of no help if something were to happen.. at least people know how to tune ess SC kits because they've made previous apps

Exciting news. In for updates and availability schedule.
I imagine as more and more n52 equipped cars come off warranty the demand for a FI kit will increase dramatically. If ESS makes a kit available, it would seem it would be the only stateside FI solution for some time. This would give ESS a solid corner on the market. |

Defiantly interested. I was just thinking the other day about the lack of performance mods for the N52 with the fiancé and considering upgrades to another model. This would keep me in my 330i and very happy if ESS pulled through!!!!

Thanks for keeping the thread going a bit.
I emailed them as well, but I think it's probably hopeless. If they produce it, I'd probably be one of the first to buy, but I'm not holding my breath. Unlike you e9x owners, I didn't have the option to get the N54 in my X3 and the new X3 was far from being unveiled... I need a S/C kit to avoid the headache of doing an N54 engine swap. Why do ECUs have to be so complex and highly secured these days? |

Interesting, just found a post that says exactly the opposite of this thread and it's only from the beginning of this month:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...94&postcount=4 Oh well, like I said above, I doubt it's going to happen. |
